We believe the every child deserves the transformational spark the arts ignite! During this difficult time of social distancing we think all kids will benefit from participating in the creative arts - even if they can only join digitally. KCYA staff are working to find, fun, free, quality arts experiences for your kids. We'll post them here and also share them on social media.

Salt Painting Ice Sculpture

KiwiCo is a great company that specializes in STEAM-based learning. They’ve created a resource page on their website offering tips for parents, age appropriate activities for students of all ages and daily DIYs for those of us needed some extra stimulation while we’re inside. My personal favorite so far is the Salt Painting Ice Sculpture. This project is intended for 5-8 year olds, but older kids might enjoy it too. Please let me know how your sculptures turned out. Leave your pictures and videos in the comments or tag KCYA in your post. Happy sculpting!
