Roberta Gumbel has been heard internationally in opera, concert, and musical theater. A graduate of Indiana University, Ms. Gumbel’s credits include: Opera Memphis, Opera Festival of New Jersey, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Opera Philadelphia, Indianapolis Opera, Michigan Opera Theater and Houston Grand Opera. Musical Theater: Broadway runs of In My Life (in which the NY Times called her “silver voiced”), Baz Luhrmann’s production of La Boheme, Ragtime, Showboat, and off Broadway, Running Man. Roberta has sung the role of Clara in Porgy and Bess throughout the United States and Europe. Ms. Gumbel has appeared frequently as a vocalist in the Red Hot Holiday Stomp for Jazz at Lincoln Center with Wynton Marsalis (broadcast on Live from Lincoln Center in December 2007.)
