Magical Things Happen at KCYA

2013 was a great year for Kansas City Young Audiences.  Highlights include an amazing Benefit Concert for Arts Education with Five-Time Tony-Award Winner Audra McDonald, a fun new partnerships with the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, and new opportunities for students to experience the joy of performing.

KCYA Presents Annual Awards

Kansas City Young Audiences (KCYA) will present annual distinguished artist and educator awards at its bAm! because ARTS matter event on Friday, April 4th. The event, to be held at 360 Architecture, in the Crossroads Arts District, recognizes the educators and teaching artists who have enabled KCYA to provide arts education experiences to the youth of Greater Kansas City.

KCYA Mourns the Passing of Jerry Berkowitz

We are greatly saddened by the passing of Jerry Berkowitz. Jerry and his wife Lennie were instrumental in the founding of Kansas City Young Audiences more than 50 years ago.

Josh Groban Supports KCYA

Kansas City, Mo., December 2013 – At his October 16 concert at the Sprint Center Josh Groban recognized Kansas City Young Audiences (KCYA) for enriching the lives of Kansas City area children through art and creativity.
