Winter Theatre Performance

Featuring a cast of more than 25 student actors!

The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival and Kansas City Young Audiences are collaborating on a performance of The Tempest: Where the Wild Rumpus Starts! Join us as we bring to life this classic with a fun, contemporary twist. The play starts with a shipwreck and ends in celebration. Our one-hour version will be packed with magic, mutiny, savage creatures, spirits and love at first sight all set on a remote, enchanted island filled with wild things!

"Wonderful performance, music, props, puppets were all true to the story.  The children were acting out the story on the playground after the program!"
