Winter Theatre Performance

Featuring a cast of more than 25 student actors!  

The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival and Kansas City Young Audiences are collaborating on a performance of The Tempest: Where the Wild Rumpus Starts! Join us as we bring to life this classic with a fun, contemporary twist. The play starts with a shipwreck and ends in celebration. Our one-hour version will be packed with magic, mutiny, savage creatures, spirits and love at first sight all set on a remote, enchanted island filled with wild things! 

Directed by Matt Rapport and Kara Armstrong 

Friday, February 24 at 7pm and 
Saturday, February 25 at 2pm
