Campus Improvements
Since moving to 3732 Main Street in 2017 we have imagined our exterior matching the exuberance of our activities inside. We are excited to announce several new initiatives to accomplish this goal.
- Mural on Main: KCYA is partnering with Kansas City Art Institute students to create an eye-catching mural for the Main Street facing wall of our building. Thanks to our co-sponsor Main Street CID! Learn more...
- All Decked Out: Our empty deck is getting a makeover with seating, new shade structures, and landscaping. A perfect place to sketch or practice lines.
- Raise the Roof: Although this project is less visible, a more durable roof will offer peace of mind, dry studio floors, and a suitable surface for a future solar panel project.
- Take a Bow: Proper lighting infrastructure for our indoor auditorium will improve the theater performance experience for students and audience members alike, also allowing for better photo and video documentation.
Together, these projects will round out the KCYA experience reflecting excellence and integrity from inside to out.
