We are thrilled to introduce our newest staff members:
March 24, 2021
LaTeesha’s role as CSA Coordinator will have her leading the CSA operations, working with the teaching artists and Director of Arts Education to help develop classes and camps that inspire our students! She’ll also help to facilitate special events and student showcases.
LaTeesha has been a KCYA teaching artist for six years and is one of only a few artists around the country, to be recognized with the national Young Audiences Arts for Learning’s Teaching Artist Credential (TAC).
LaTeesha, who earned her BA from Benedictine College, has previous experience as Education and Community Engagement Assistant at the Lyric Opera of Kanas City. LaTeesha also performs throughout the region in musical theater, cabaret and opera. She has been featured regionally and internationally in concerts, benefits, and tours. LaTeesha has performed locally with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Quality Hill Playhouse, Civic Opera Theater, Fine Arts Institute, American Tapestry Chorale, Kansas City Symphony Chorus, Atchison Orchestra and others.
Brianna will assist the Community School of the Arts (CSA) team providing outstanding customer service to our students and their families. She will help enroll, greet, and facilitate logistics for students in all classes and camps in addition to supporting various special events.
Brianna has previously been a KCYA summer intern and a teaching assistant. Brianna earned her BA in Art History from the University of Kansas and plans to continue her education in hopes to introduce more children to the visual arts!
