Kansas City Young Audiences
Celebrates 60th Anniversary in 2021
Kansas City Young Audiences (KCYA), founded in 1961, is pleased to announce 60 years of providing high-quality arts education programs for the children in greater Kansas City.
Our founders understood the lasting importance of quality arts education. With this foresight, they set out on a mission that has, to date, served more than 6 million children and youth throughout the greater Kansas City area! 60 years into this journey, KCYA remains committed to engaging all youth in the arts, promoting creativity and inspiring success in education.
We will celebrate our anniversary all year long with a number of Community Events and a Campus Improvement Project. We hope you can join us throughout the year to celebrate the power of Arts Education!

Creating a Vibrant, Welcoming Space for our Community
We love our home in Midtown and want it to reflect the inspiring work we do within! So, we're planning some projects that will spice up the exterior and create a more vibrant, functional outdoor space for our students and families to enjoy.
We will highlight a number events throughout the year
KCYA will present a slate of community events throughout the year designed to engage new audiences and convene old friends.
Support the 60th Anniversary Campaign
Donors and volunteers are the bedrock of our 60-year history. Whether underwriting a Broadway star like Kristin Chenoweth at the Kauffman Center in a Benefit for Arts Education, or by providing a pair of tiny ballet slippers for our shoe closet, your donations truly sustain KCYA. We are once again calling on loyal donors and friends to mark this milestone 60th Anniversary by supporting our Campus Improvements, Community Events, or Arts Education Program Support.
