Performing Arts Lab

(multi-disciplinary class: theatre, dance, music)

 

This class is the perfect fit for the student who loves it all or wants to give the world of performing a try. Provide your enthusiastic dancer, budding actor, or sensational musician with a sampling of artistic experiences. A professional teaching artist will work with your child to provide instruction in dance, drama and music. Your child will have the opportunity to explore his or her own talents and interests while becoming a well-rounded artist.

Garage Band

 

Play, collaborate, and create with others in a 'garage' rock band format. Every member will have the chance to learn about the various instruments and roles: electric guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums. Through experimentation and practice the group will create its own unique sound.  Students will learn classic cover tunes, new arrangements, how to record (using home recording software), the ‘band’ will choose their own name, share their music on Sound Cloud and burn CD’s to keep. 

**STUDENTS MUST ALREADY HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WITH THE GUITAR, BASS, KEYBOARD or DRUMS.**  Advanced Garage Band requires an audition or instructor approval.   

 

 

CLASS: Intermediate Garage Band

DAY: Thursday

TIME: 6:00-6:50pm

AGES: 10-18

AGES: 12-18 (Requires audition or instructor approval)

All enrollments are processed online through Active Camp and Class Manager. There is a small (4%) fee added to the class costs to cover part of the administration fees.
