NEW! This brand new class is a great introduction to the basics of beginning music. Students will be introduced to the instruments of the orchestra, how sound is made on different instruments, basic note reading & music theory, singing, solfege, layering rhythms & making instruments out of household items.
|5 - 7||Music Makers||Thursday||6:00 - 6:50 pm||Danielle Mays||$161|
Play, collaborate, and create with others in a 'garage' rock band format. Every member will have the chance to try out the various instruments and roles: electric guitar, keyboard, drums and vocals. Through experimentation and practice the group will create its own unique sound. Students will learn classic cover tunes, new arrangements, how to record (using home recording software), the ‘band’ will choose their own name, share their music on Sound Cloud and burn CD’s to keep. Prior experience on guitar, keyboard, bass or drums would be greatly appreciated, but is not necessary. Advanced Garage Band requires instructor approval.
