In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to work on their 21st century skills by creating games, collaborating with classmates, learning communication skills with emphasis on how to actively listen to another person speak and how to effectively communicate their ideas so people can understand them. We will start out by playing a few games and introducing the concept of good sportsmanship. We will also discuss what makes a game fun and how games work. Afterward students will break into small groups and collaborate to create their own games. We will then play their games as a group. At the end of the workshop the class will walk away with a complete set of games created by the students themselves to play at any future time.
