Explore the unique rhythms of emotions through songs and a story by award-winning children’s entertainer and author Jim “Mr. Stinky Feet” Cosgrove. Students will identify emotions and skillful ways to process them through self-awareness, discover ways to be effective listeners, and to express kindness and empathy toward others. Mr. Stinky Feet will read his picture book “Sullen Sally,” a story about emotions and friendship that reminds readers that nobody is expected to feel happy all the time.
Requirements: An electrical outlet. 10' x 20' open area (gymnasium floor is adequate) clear for 30 minutes prior. Students seated on floor with a center aisle (no bleachers, please). Performer provides PA system. Needs 20 to 30 minutes to tear down afterwards. Teachers must be present at all times during performance.
