A Dance Workshop or Residency for Grades 2-5

Working from the Actor’s Tool Box as the foundation for developing self-regulation skills, students are taught to calm their bodies, focus their minds, and balance their emotions. They move on to basic skills related to cooperation and empathy, learning to lead and follow, and the four zones of self-regulation.
Students are guided to create dances based on themes related to recognizing and dealing with various emotional states and individual responsibility for using strategies of self-regulation.
Available as a single workshop or as a multi-workshop residency.
Requirements: A large, clear space for dancing, preferably a gymnasium or multi-purpose room. If available, a large Screen TV HDMI Compatible. Teachers must be present at all times during workshops.
