Experience the art, history, and literature of the Harlem Renaissance with poet and performer Theodore “Priest” Hughes. Through live poetry performances, writing, and discussion, students will experience and analyze the language and imagery as well as the social and cultural climate of the 1920’s. This can be tailored as a multi-workshop residency.
Requirements: Paper and pen or pencil. Teachers must be present at all times during workshops.
