Urban Bucket Brigade Drumming Workshop

Bring the family for a fun outdoor drumming workshop! Jaisson Taylor brings this interactive and fun drumming workshop from the streets to your students. Using recycled buckets and a rhythm, students will learn about the role of music in various cultures and how those cultures influence what you hear in the music of the streets today. RSVP required

    Arts Integration: An Introduction for Administrators, Arts Specialists, and Teac

    This 1-hour session introduces you to the Kennedy Center’s definition of art integration and the characteristics of quality arts integration. For this session, you will participate in arts integrated model lesson that integrates dance with STEM topics and explores the tangible benefits of taking an arts integrated approach to your teaching. Teaching Artist, Harlan Brownlee, is a presenter for the Kennedy Center, a Young Audiences Nationally Credentialed Teaching Artist, and certified in Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Launch Curriculum. Please dress comfortably and ready to move. This in person event will follow social distancing protocols and masks wills be required.

    Sum of Our Favorite Numbers

    Start your Saturday with lots of giggles!! Making Math fun is half the battle! Leslie and Jay Cady use juggling, humor, and a wacky fairy tale to share many reasons why they like numbers. Kids will roll in the aisles as they delve into counting, addition, multiplication, division, and units of measurement. A hilarious game of 20 questions rounds out the approximately 30-minute-long show.
