Where are the CSA classes held?
All classes are held at the Community School of the Arts at 5601 Wyandotte Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64113. We’re located in the Music and Arts Building on the campus of St. Teresa’s Academy in Brookside.
Saint Teresa's Academy has asked that we park on the east side of Wyandotte Street (closest to STA) or in the STA parking lot off of 57th Street. Absolutely no one is to park on the west side of Wyandotte or on Westover Street. Thanks for following this new parking policiy and helping us be good neighbors.
When is the first day of class?
The first day for the Fall Session is Tuesday, September 7, 2010.
The first day of the Spring Session is Monday, January 24, 2011.
(Regular Monday classes will have their first meeting on Monday, September 13 - there will be an automatic make up lesson on Monday, November 22nd - to make up for not starting the session on Monday, September 6th.)
Does the CSA close for Holidays?
The CSA will be closed Tuesday, November 23 - Sunday, November 28 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The KCYA office will be closed November 25th-28th.
Please note that Monday classes WILL be held on November 22 (this class makes up for not starting the Session on Monday, September 6, 2010 - which is Labor Day).
The KCYA office will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2010 for the Martin Luther King Holiday.

How do we meet the Teaching Artists?
Join us for the CSA Open House, which is generally held the Saturday morning before the first day of the session and is a great opportunity to meet our teaching artists and to explore the wide variety of classes that we offer. If you are unable to attend, we’d be happy to set up a time to meet with you personally and to introduce you to our teaching artists.
Larry Greer, Director of Arts Education and Marty Arvizu, Director of Marketing & Business Development share responsibility for the CSA and report to
Martin English, the Executive Director of Kansas City Young Audiences.
